Last week, Esther Guerrero Puigdevall, the best sportswoman 2014, signed
for new
Balance team. She is from Banyoles and she was born the 7th
February 1990.
Twelve years ago
approximately, Esther started competitions in Juvenile category. She is very
brave because she broke her contract with FC Barcelona and bet for New
Balance team. The cause of this new signing is the new aims that the team
offers her.
Esther remarked: “The
new team has a motivating and innovating project with meets my goals”.
In addition, she
competed in the women’s 800 meters event in Beijing, China, last summer 2015. One
of the things that motivate her is being a CN Banyoles athletics coach.
Her goals are to qualify
for the European championships next July 2016, but to achieve that, she would
have to finish in the top 3 in the Spanish Champions.
Her last goal is to participate in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in
Brazil.
